Plain-language summary: Screenshot OCR helps you turn selected screenshots into searchable cards. OCR runs on-device where possible. In version 1, extracted screenshot text may be sent to an AI API to generate summaries. Saved cards and extracted text are stored locally on your device. Nothing is deleted by default.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Screenshot OCR by Nuuki, available at ocr.nuuki.app and in the iOS app.

2. Information processed by the app

When you choose screenshots to process, the app may process:

the selected screenshot images,
text extracted from those screenshots using OCR,
AI-generated titles, summaries, categories, tags, and key details,
local app settings, such as deletion preferences if you enable them.

3. On-device processing and local storage

OCR is designed to run on your device where possible. Saved cards, summaries, categories, tags, and raw extracted OCR text are stored locally on your device.

4. AI summarization

In version 1, extracted screenshot text may be sent to an AI API to generate summaries, categories, tags, and key details. We do not intentionally send screenshots that are flagged as likely containing passwords, recovery codes, or credentials for summarization.

Specific AI provider details and data handling terms may be updated as the product evolves. We will update this Privacy Policy when provider details or processing materially change.

5. Sensitive screenshots

Screenshots that appear to contain passwords, recovery codes, credentials, or similar sensitive information are surfaced separately in the app. They are not silently summarized, hidden, or deleted.

6. Deletion of originals

The app does not delete original screenshots by default. Original screenshots are deleted only if you explicitly enable a deletion preference and confirm the relevant flow after cards have been created and reviewed.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

8. No account required

The app is designed to work without creating a Nuuki account. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy.

9. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your choices

You choose which screenshots to process.
You can delete saved cards inside the app.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.
